EmCoWo, Inc is a 501(c)(3) organization which was created to help women feel more connected, and less alone.

The seed was planted simply. Talk to women, learn their stories, and share them with everyone in an effort to expose the things we can’t always learn about strangers in passing. Instead of continuing to compare ourselves to one another, women collectively share and help others to begin to feel more connected.

EmCoWo awards quarterly grants to area nonprofit organizations whose missions directly benefit women in our region, as well as individual women. Grants are funded through collective giving. Our goal is to collectively make a measurable difference in the lives of women on the Emerald Coast.

Interested applicants are invited to submit a grant application on a quarterly basis. Applicants may apply once each quarter however an applicant may only be awarded one grant per calendar year.  Applicants are also invited to share their stories on our EmCoWo podcast and in our newsletter, allowing the positive impact to surpass their potential grant award and result in additional growth and support in the region. Through this collaborative communication effort EmCoWo aims to improve the quality of community support to organizations and remind women in our community they are not alone!

At the end of each quarter, our members evaluate the grant applications and select an organization or individual that can be impacted by the theme of that quarter. Grants will be disbursed the following quarter.

Individuals or organizations awarded grants are required to sign a binding agreement and to submit requests for disbursements with documentation over a period of a year following the grant being awarded.
